We don't just approve courses. We PARTNER with Educators and their Academies
The T.R.U.S.T.E.D. Framework
Every course accredited by TBP is assessed against seven clear criteria.
Trainer certificates
The trainer holds a recognised qualification in every treatment they teach, appropriate to the level of the course. They have also completed a teacher training course, either Ofqual regulated or industry recognised, confirming they are qualified not just to do but to educate.
Rigorous assessment
Every student completes our three-part assessment framework before receiving their certificate. This covers a theory assessment (including contraindications, contra-actions, health and safety, and treatment knowledge), a live model assessment, and a series of case studies completed after the course.
Underpinned by theory
Every course begins with theory covering anatomy, physiology, health and safety, legislation, contraindications, contra-actions, and treatment-specific knowledge. Whether delivered in person or as pre-learning, all key theory is recapped before practical work begins.
Standards-aligned content
Course content, time allocation, student numbers, and case study requirements all meet TBP's published standards for the treatment type, ensuring every student has genuinely practised the skill before qualifying.
Teaching insurance
The trainer holds valid educators insurance that covers all treatments taught and includes a teaching extension. Insurance must remain current throughout the accreditation period and is verified at the annual QA meeting.
Evidenced currency
Course content must be current, accurate, and reflective of industry best practice. Manuals and lesson plans are living documents, reviewed and updated regularly to ensure students receive training that reflects how the industry operates today.
Delivery quality, ongoing
Accreditation does not end at approval. TBP conducts an annual Quality Assurance review with every accredited academy, verifying that standards are being maintained and supporting educators to keep improving their practice.
