Hey Probabes!

Welcome to 'Beauty Educators Lounge' the Trusted Beauty Professionals official blog. This is our dedicated space to address the most common questions, concerns and dilemmas faced by beauty experts navigating the education sector. We will be posting a blog every other Monday at 12pm!

As we turn two today it felt like the perfect time to launch our blog allowing us to continue our mission to improve the quality of education within the beauty industry.

It is only right that I, Kai founder of Trusted Beauty Professionals, take you right back to the beginning even before our conception on the 4th January 2023.

The year is 2018, I had just got my eyelashes done for the first time in my life ahead of a trip to Rome. I was in awe of the look but more than anything the freedom and flexibility (and extra cash) it provided to my manager who sat and did them for me. So what did I do? I booked myself onto a Classic lash course for the August of that same year!

Alongside studying towards my undergraduate degree, the PGCE, and my part time job as a Manager at Primark I was able to build a strong client base and fell more and more in love with the beauty industry. In 2021, I achieved Qualified Teacher Status and went on to become Teacher of Sociology and RE, Designated Teacher for Looked after Children and Head of Year 10. I also became an accredited Lash educator in 2022 before leaving the profession to boss TBP full time in August 2024.

Now lets get into TBP shall we! TBP was birthed on 4th January 2023 out of my own growing concern for the quality of education in the industry I loved so dearly. In my, then 4 years of, experience I had completed nearly 10 beauty courses all of varying quality and detail. I didn't understand why courses accredited by the same company ranged in quality so drastically and this led me to take action. Almost 7 years in and there is still so much growing to do!

I wanted to build an accreditation board that provided opportunities for educators to grow and learn! I wanted to improve the quality of education in the industry and ensure there was greater support and very clear guidance on what it means to be an OUTSTANDING educator. In the last two years we have trained over 70 educators and proudly accredit 40+ educators/academies across the industry.

I am proud to say we are absolutely actioning this mission not only by educating experts and helping them transition into the role of an educator or providing training materials or accrediting courses. We are constantly finding ways to provide insight to our community. This includes through our TBP Beauty Educators Hub, which hosts 20+ masterclasses and a growing resource hub to ensure our educators are able to continue growing, scaling and thriving. The TBP Educators Lounge will provide us with another opportunity to pour into the industry and ensure that knowledge is readily available for those that need it.

Happy Birthday TBP!

Join us back in the lounge on Monday 20th January 2025 x
